Q: Can you briefly introduce yourself, your company, and your role?

Renaud Guttinger: I've been working for Manuport Logistics Group for the past twenty years. Our company is a freight forwarder as well as a licensed customs broker in Indonesia. We are part of the Manuport Logistics Group headquartered in Antwerp, Belgium.

Q: What challenges did your company face before using Okargo?

Renaud Guttinger: We are working in a very dynamic environment with ever-pressing customers, suppliers, and partners all around the world. They all want ocean freight rates as soon as possible with the best conditions possible as well. So we definitely needed a rate management tool that would allow us to save a lot of time and give us a very good overview of the market on a port-to-port basis.

Q: If you had to define Okargo in three words, what would they be?

Renaud Guttinger: If I have to summarize in three simple words, I would say: Easy to use, Affordable, and Very Quick.

Q: When you first discovered Okargo, what was your immediate reaction?

Renaud Guttinger: The first time we heard about Okargo and its functionalities, we were really thrilled, me and my team. This is really the tool that we were looking for for a long time.

Q: Which Okargo feature brings you the most value in your day-to-day work?

Renaud Guttinger: The main feature we are using in Okargo is the ability to find a port-to-port rate with all the accessories: transit time, shipping line, transshipment ports. This is very useful for us to secure a booking with the customer.

Q: What concrete impact has Okargo had on the time your team spends quoting rates?

Renaud Guttinger: On a daily basis, we used to spend around 2 to 3 hours only checking rates with carriers. This work has been reduced to maybe 10 to 15 minutes thanks to Okargo.

Q: Can you share a concrete situation where Okargo helped you find a solution for a customer?

Renaud Guttinger: With the current congestion in main European ports, Okargo is helping us a lot to provide our customers with alternative solutions. For example, when the port of Antwerp is not accessible or very congested, Okargo will help us divert the shipments and bookings to alternative ports such as Le Havre or Rotterdam.

Q: What would be the impact on your business if you had to stop using Okargo?

Renaud Guttinger: If we had to stop using Okargo tomorrow, it would be for us a huge issue. We would lose a lot of flexibility and would not be able to reply to the needs of our customers in a timely manner as we do now.

Q: What would you say to a friend to convince them to adopt Okargo?

Renaud Guttinger: I think it's a no-brainer. It doesn't take much time to convince somebody to use Okargo on a daily basis. This is a great tool—again: affordable, user-friendly—that will change the way you quote the customers and the relationship you have with them.
